In the second quarter of 2025, the top personal finance apps on the Android platform in South Africa demonstrated varied performance trends. Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into their weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

Splitwise experienced a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $222 in late June. Weekly downloads fluctuated, reaching a high of 342 in the last week of the quarter. Active users saw a decline from 8.5K at the start of the quarter to 7.7K by the end.

Wallet: Budget Expense Tracker saw a notable increase in weekly downloads mid-quarter, hitting 380 in May. Revenue also rose slightly, peaking at $149 in late June, while active users increased from 722 to 812 over the quarter.
